Today is my name day! I know that it doesn't work in all of countries and cultures, but it does in Poland, where I come from. It is a holiday celebrated on a given day by people with the same name, in memory of the saint whose name she or he carries. No matter the saints, it is just a good occasion to celebrate, and to have a -25% promo on all our products in the DailyArt Shop and Courses!

I would also like to present one of my favorite paintings, this time one of the Haystacks by Claude Monet!

I love everything from the Haystacks series. It consists of 25 canvases, which Monet began near the end of the summer of 1890 and continued through the following spring. The series is famous for the way in which Monet repeated the same subject to show the differing light and atmosphere at different times of day, across the seasons and in many types of weather. Monet presented 15 of these pieces side by side in a single room at the Galerie Durand-Ruel in Paris in a groundbreaking display in May 1891, earning unprecedented critical acclaim and financial success. This exhibition was pivotal for Monet's career and French art history.

Monet continued to explore serial motifs in his subsequent works, including poplars, Rouen Cathedral, and scenes from his Giverny garden.

Have a great day, everyone!
